Workshop - Hand Sewing Basics | Beginner Class

There are some things that you just can't do on a sewing machine or perhaps you want to do something with your hands while watching TV. Either way, we're here to help expand your sewing know-how.

In this one time, three hour class, students will learn how to hand sew:

  • A slipstitch
  • A blind hem
  • A pick stitch
  • A picked zipper
  • A button

    The course will be taught by Lilia Beaman, who has a bridal and tailoring background, and is designed to accommodate 4-8 students. 

    Prerequisites: Some sewing experience.

    -*1/4 yard of muslin
    -*All purpose zipper
    -One button with four holes
    -*Hand sewing needle
    -Optional: thimble that fits on your dominant middle finger
