Workshop - The Perfect Fit (Woven Essentials) | Intermediate Class

Date and Time: Thurs Mar 23 & 30, 6:30-10p

Notice how home sewing patterns fit almost no one perfectly? We aim to change that. In The Perfect Fit workshop, we'll make sure you look good in everything you make.

Students will learn how to:

  • Read patterns and make adjustments to fit your body properly using a pattern with 5 garment type variations
  • Use the Woven Essentials pattern to create a muslin (mockup) for future use
  • Fit a bodice and sleeve muslin for creating garments
Students will not complete a garment, but leave class with a personal bodice and sleeve pattern.

The course will be taught by Danica McCracken and is designed to accommodate 4-8 students.

Prerequisites: Ability to successfully operate a sewing machine on your own; prior experience working with home sewing patterns.

Sewing machines can be rented for $5 for the course. It is recommended that you bring a machine if you own one so that you may learn to sew on the machine that you'll be using the most.
