Workshop - Knowing Your Serger | All Levels Class

Date and Time: Tue, Oct 24, 6:30p – 9:30p

Do sergers confuse and mystify you? Do you have one that has just been sitting in the corner in time out because it was making you so mad that one day? Thinking about getting a serger and want to try one out before you make the leap?

Then this class is for you!

This class is designed to get you comfortable with using, maintaining, and troubleshooting issues with a serger. This will cover up to a 4-thread serger. (If you don't know what that means, it's ok! You will!) Yes, you can do this!

Students will learn how to:

  • thread their machine properly
  • set their machine up for different stitches
  • which stitches to use when
  • oil and clean their machine
  • use proper machine terminology
  • troubleshoot machine issues to avoid future frustration.

The course will be taught by Tessa Gonzales and is designed to accommodate 4-8 students.

There are NO prerequisites for this course!

Sergers can be rented for $5 for the course. It is recommended that you bring a machine if you own one so that you may learn to sew on the machine that you'll be using the most.

Once you've successfully completed this course, you will be eligible to take any beginner serger class at The Cloth Pocket Studio!
